This post's format is a little different from previous MMM updates, simply because it's been so long. I still continued to track during my break that took up most of December and so far in January, but because of my GI issues, things haven't been as strict. In fact there was zero exercise done in December. I did start exercising this month, but it is taking me awhile to get back up to par.
First an update on my GI issues... I still have them. Ha! Chad and I both visited in the ER in December... his turned out to be some Blood Pressure issues, my issues are still undetermined.... but I was in so much pain from the GI issues, and had a fever, that Chad took me. They gave me some meds- which really didn't help- and forwarded me to a specialist. I saw the Gastroenterologist the last Friday of December. He did some blood work... I am not allergic to gluten (no celiac disease), my thyroid is functioning normally, and there was nothing else of significance found....So now the next step is a colonoscopy and upper GI tract scope.... Joy! I have this Friday the 18th. Right now the doctor is learning towards either Chron's Disease or IBS... the scope will help us figure out which one. I still have massive pain alot. I still have numerous days of the week where I can't go. And in general I am just miserable. Part of the reason why my fitness journey is off track a bit. I am trying to exercise, but really not putting my all into workouts- most days I just go through the motions so I can say I did it. Hopefully I get answers next friday and begin a treatment program so I can get back on track.
I am also working on getting back on track with tracking what I eat. I have still been following a menu, but I wasn't tracking my calorie intact till the beginning of this month. Almost like starting all over again with some of this stuff, have to make sure I keep track of nutrition info for everything. Same with water, was still drinking mostly water, but wasn't worrying about getting a certain amount. Have been doing a lot better this last week, but it will take a few more weeks for it to be routine again.
I did get a new exercise program for Christmas- Turbo Fire. It's a good program and I am sure I will begin to enjoy it, but like I said right now I am just going through the motions. My GI issues and lack of fitness progress has really messed with my mind, and right now most of my obstacles are mental.
I am still on track to reach my goal this year. I need to lose ___ more pounds and ____ % of body fat to meet them.
